Note of Thanks from Dakota Bunkbed Giveaway Winner

This spring, we had the opportunity to "rehome" a pair of Dakota Bunkbeds and a Dakota Dresser to Ben and his daughters Lily and Maya. Here is the note he sent us to say thanks. It warms our heartstrings!

Dear Jenny,

I just wanted to write to say thanks so much for the two bunkbeds, they are fantastic! Your website isn't kidding when it says Epoch builds furniture to last. All the joints are made of metal so there's no worry about loss of integrity even if we have to disassemble/reassemble these a dozen times over. Even the top bunk faces get secured by screws that go into metal threads set into the wood… a very nice touch. Normally, I've got a rubber mallet handy when assembling furniture in anticipation of the need for a little elbow grease to get things working, but here it all built up without so much as a love tap.

You'll have to forgive me for dwelling on the details, but we've had bunk beds in the past that damn near took an act of Congress to finish (with only slightly better results). In fact, the top bunk bed on the last set wobbled a few inches if you just walked by it too quickly; neither girl would even venture up there. With this set, Lily (oldest) upon seeing the bunks, promptly marched her self and her stuff up the ladder (and gave me an earful for assuming a preference for the bottom bunk).

Anyway, all this is to say that we love the beds (and the dresser, which is also extremely sturdy), and I can't thank you enough for thinking of u s. What's more, it could not have come at a better time. We had to downsize from the 3-bedroom house we had in Georgia to the 2-bedroom apartment we have now, and the process was rocky to boot. (I'll spare you the details but air mattresses and lots of little girl tears were involved). I think what I'm trying to say is, the beds are more than just a place for the girls to sleep, they've transformed the space from a bedroom to Little Girl Land with Lily and Maya presiding… Let the festivities commence!

Sincerely,

Ben

PS: The pictures are my humble attempt to capture the setup, but they don't do it justice.
