DIY Coffee Table

It's been a while since we shared a do-it-yourself project, but never fear, we have a great new one for you today! If you're a fan of the more rustic outdoorsy furniture look, you'll love this DIY coffee table that we found. The coolest part? You make it yourself out of wine crates! You only need a few simple things to complete this project that you'll be able to pick up at your local Home Depot or hardware store, so keep reading to learn how to create this unique and creative coffee table on your own!

What You'll Need:

  • 4 Wooden Wine Crates
  • 2 1x2x6 Planks of Recycled Pallet
  • 4 Caster Wheels
  • Screws
  • Screw Driver
  • Stain or Paint of Your Choice
  • Satin Polyurethane

How-To:

  1. Prepare your crates by using your stain or paint of choice, coat each of the wine crates completely until the color desired is achieved, and wait for them to dry completely
  2. Now create a frame with the planks, bringing them together with nails in a square shape. Secure a cross to the middle of the square frame using L brackets, creating the base of your table
  3. Arrange the crates and nail them to the frame, leaving an open square in the center
  4. Measure the dimensions of the square hole in the center, and cut two pieces from the plank to fit
  5. Screw the plank pieces securely on the sides and bottom of the square center
  6. Flip the crates upsie down and screw a wheel at each of the four corners
  7. Fill the center hole with a decorative filler of your choice (stones, pebbles, decorative plant)
  8. Enjoy your brand new coffee table!
