“Aloha” Bedroom Décor

Beach-themed bedrooms are one of the most popular room motifs for teenage girls… There’s just something about having a tropical beach in your room that makes everyone jealous. With these decorating tips, you’ll be able to transport yourself to a tropical paradise without ever leaving the comfort of your home!

The ideal beach room could have any light pastel-colored walls; a nautical combination of white and light blue would be perfect! The furniture should also be white, and a collection like this one is absolutely perfect for the theme.

I’m sure you’ve already thought of a beach wall mural or poster, it’s just a simple way to bring the beach into your room! Get a little more creative with this clichéd idea by adding window decorations like curtains to the mural in order to give the effect of an actual beach outside your window. Then, use sheer beach-colored gauze curtains to add to the beachiness of your room! Layer blue and white for the perfect combination!

Caution! With this theme it’s easy to go tacky, so try to avoid bright party luau themed décor unless decorating for a child (which we’ll give you a few ideas for too). Wall accents like these framed shells and wooden anchor will fit in perfectly with the theme without being too flashy.

When decorating for a younger girl who just loves sandals and sunglasses, try flip-flop room lanterns to add color to the room and create the Hawaiian look… Another easy way to dress up furniture you already have would be to add the grass skirts you can get from your local party store around the skirt of the bed, or a dresser.

Good luck on creating your bedroom paradise, and mahalo for reading our blog!
